Gated Jungle Home + Two Rental Apartments for Sale in Canyon Verde

Tucked into the rainforest of Manuel Antonio, this private 1,518.66 m² property sits within Canyon Verde Gated Community. It pairs a main home with two separate rental apartments, so you can live on-site while the apartments earn income. Both buildings were designed by architect Roberto Estrada, and both are built with concrete block. Clean modern lines and large windows keep the focus on the jungle outside.

Building 1: Main Home (approx. 110 m², built 2011)

The main residence is spread across three levels, with two bedrooms and three bathrooms. The middle level holds the open living area and a kitchen with solid cedar cabinetry and doors, plus a half bathroom. A cenízaro hardwood staircase leads up to a footbridge and the loft bedroom, which has its own bathroom and air conditioning. On the lowest level, an independent room with a private bathroom and its own separate entrance offers privacy for guests, family, or a separate rental, and it's pre-wired for a portable A/C unit. The home also includes a laundry room with the breaker panel and a storage room (bodega). Both levels have balconies where you can spend hours looking out at the jungle and its wildlife.

Building 2: Two Identical Apartments (approx. 75 m² each, built 2025)

Building 2 was completed in 2025 and sits on solid rock. It holds two turnkey one-bedroom apartments. Each apartment has its own living room, kitchen, bathroom, and covered outdoor living terrace looking straight into the canopy. The upper apartment is designed to be wheelchair accessible. Inside, you'll find high ceilings, polished concrete floors, cedar cabinetry, and two A/C units per apartment. A main electrical panel in the basement powers the A/C units, the laundry, and an exterior outlet for charging an electric car. The basement also has room to build a workshop.

The Setting

Privacy and quiet are what set this property apart. Set within Canyon Verde Gated Community, in the heart of Manuel Antonio, it offers the security of a gated entrance, and the HOA takes care of security and road maintenance. The result is a peaceful, low-maintenance home surrounded entirely by rainforest.

The grounds are as much a part of the home as the buildings themselves. A majestic Guanacaste tree anchors the property, joined by lime, mango, and guava trees you can harvest from. There are also several guarumo trees, a favorite food source for sloths, which makes them frequent visitors.

Wildlife is part of daily life here, as the canyon connects with Manuel Antonio National Park. Blue morpho butterflies pass through every morning, and the monkeys Manuel Antonio is famous for regularly make their way through the canopy. Scarlet macaws, toucans, agoutis, and many other bird species are regular visitors too, so the terraces feel like front-row seats to the jungle.

For those who want to add their own touch, there are two possible spots for a future pool.

The Opportunity

Since the property relaunched on Airbnb on December 15, 2025, it has generated approximately $22,000 USD in rental income. That came in its first season, even though it went live after most high-season travelers had already booked. Long-term rentals are also in short supply in Manuel Antonio, so demand for quality housing is steady. You could live in the main home and rent out the apartments, run all three as vacation rentals, or offer them to long-term tenants. Full rental and expense details are available to qualified buyers on request.
